One of the more formal highlights of the 3 week festivities is the Toronto Caribbean Carnival Gala held at the prestigious Liberty Grand Complex (check it out at www.libertygrand.com. There were many awards given out, the food and music were Caribbean filled and of course, there were plenty of beautifully costumed women and men from the Mas Bands that are going to participate in the main Parade Day next weekend.

“Cocorioko is home to me, the only danger in doing these interviews is when you take what happened with one audience and bring it to another audience there is a risk for the new audience to think you are accusing them of what happened with the other audience. But I had to let everyone know what's going on. One day I'm hoping all the dots will connect and everyone will be informed on everything”

                     PRESS RELEASE
        FREDDY WILL'S KRIO LANGUAGE
    ALBUM AND CORRESPONDING BOOK
             TO BE RE-RELEASED IN USA
                               ON 11-11-11

TORONTO, CANADA - MAY 30TH, 2011 – Grammy nominated artist and author Freddy Will returns to the entertainment stage on November 11th, 2011 with his colossal dual effort 'Dark Horse From Romarong…a city of kings’ (his Krio language album) and his corresponding second literary offering, ‘The Dark Road From Romarong.’

The announcement was made through West African media outlets in the tri – states of New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia and also throughout Maryland, Delaware and Virginia.  The album, performed entirely in the Krio language of Sierra Leone, is mainly targeted to an African audience; there’s been overwhelming support of Western fans since its original release.

The album was recorded at Thunder Dome Sounds in Ontario, Canada and produced by its CEO, legendary Juno Award and Jazz musician, arranger and producer Eddie Bullen. Eddie Bullen is featured on the title track as well. The album features guest appearances by gospel singer Meena and also, world renowned 5-time Grammy Award winner, gospel artist Carvin Winans.

This huge re-release initiative will be part of a bigger event held in Washington, DC in the Fall. The new release will include both the book and full-length studio album and it will have additional songs/demo versions of the tracks like, ‘Com'mor Beyen Me Now’, ‘Jos Cam’ and ‘Save’ before featured guests were included. It will be released with some unique merchandise but those details will be elaborated on the Official Freddy Will website at
www.freddywill.com shortly.

The corresponding book of the Krio album, ‘The Dark Road From Romarong’ was published by Soul Asylum Poetry and Publishing's Ken Cowle in Jackson’s Point and Freddy Will’s Ghetto Breed Entertainment in Central New Jersey, USA. The book contains a historic true story about the journey of Sierra Leonean's past generations who came from a place known as ‘Romarong’ and how this place became the Republic of Sierra Leone today. The book also contains English translations of the Krio lyrics on the accompanying album.

"It's been another successful year for Freddy Will Industries. We celebrated a Grammy nomination this winter when the producers at East Coast Recordings in Philadelphia, a slew of Grammy Award winning artists, industry superstars, spoken words artists, radio personalities and Freddy Will collaborated on the New York Coalition For Healthy School Foods' double CD album "Healthy Food For Thought: Good Enough To Eat." The double album which was a charity album that brought awareness to type-2 diabetes and childhood obesity in New York.  The album received a Grammy nomination in December 2010 for the 2011 Grammy Awards.

Sierra Leone celebrated its 50th Anniversary and we closed a deal with the Intergovernmental Postal Consultants, IGPC that we won't announce now but will change the game for us. The Krio album has done very well since we released it last year and Freddy Will has a thing for numbers and dates and so we decided to re-release the Krio album and the book to celebrate all these successes." says GBE Management.

To note: there is one English song on the Krio album titled 'Save’ featuring 5-time Grammy Award winner, gospel legend Carvin Winans. ‘Save' is an environmental and socially conscious song calling for global intervention to levitate extreme health and socio-economic pandemics from natural disasters in the world.   The promoted singles off this re-release will be 'Athens Of West Africa,' 'Jos Cam,' 'Temperature,' and 'Save' - feat. Carvin Winans.

“I wanted to create a record which would challenge me. I didn't want to feature too many people either. On this album, I put my streetwise twist to West African storytelling which I think is needed in today’s’ art form. Then I stretched my vocal range between rapping and singing melodies on the verses (or in the hooks) so that I can prove to myself that if I really wanted to, I could sing. I noticed a few rappers singing hooks and I wanted to see what I would sound like. However, I won't be singing a lot on my future records."

‘Romarong’ is the former name of Sierra Leone. The album describes the lifestyle of someone who is of African heritage and is influenced by the Afro - American lifestyle. It engages listeners with glimpses into the life of a younger generation of African immigrants and second and third generation Africans who were born and raised abroad who have become influenced by western civilization without omitting core traditional African mythologies from their mentality.  Also, it is about a younger group of Africans who embrace the new world while making most advantageous references to several places around the world where they may reside’.

                      PRESS RELEASE
                    FREDDY WILL MAKES
         MISS KEMI'S TO TEN CANADIAN
     RAPPERS OF AFRICAN DESCENT LIST

TORONTO, CANADA – APRIL 27TH,2011 -Toronto based Nigerian journalist, Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo (aka) Ms Kemi, released an article of her, 'Top 10 Canadian Rappers of African Descent'.  Off the 10 rappers she listed, Freddy Will was one of them. Congratulation goes out to ALL the artists who made the list!

In the article, the order was: 1. Kwajo “Cinqo” Boateng (Ghana), 2. K’Naan born Keinan Abdi Warsame (Somalia), 3. Shad born Shadrach Kabango (Kenya, Rwanda),  4. Vital born Hiruy Girmay (Ethiopia), 5. Big Page (Ghanaian), 6. JD Era (Ghana), 7. Reema Major (Sudan), 8. Freddy Will(Sierra Leone,) 9. Stevano Ugo (Nigerian), and 10.Babaluku (aka) Mr. Africa (Uganda).

A paragraph was written on each person, Freddy Will’s paragraph is below:

"Freddy Will born Wilfred Kanu Jr. – is a Grammy Nominated Sierra Leonean Hip-Hop artist and author who have initially survived two genocidal civil wars when he was a kid in West Africa. Almost all of those whom he grew up with were brutally murdered. He spent most of his adult years in New Jersey and recently came to Toronto, Canada to record his album.

Today, Freddy Will runs his independent imprint which is distributed internationally and includes his charity foundation that gives back to impoverished hospitals in West Africa. He was recently awarded with his own postal stamp in Sierra Leone after he released his second book with a corresponding album in their Krio Language.

Some of his best known accomplishments are: (1) the first person from Sierra Leone to be nominated under a Grammy category after working with both Grammy and JUNO Award winning artists and producers. (2) the world’s first musical artist to release consecutive albums with
corresponding books and (3) the only Sierra Leonean born artist
and author with a significant western fan base."
- THE NIGERIAN CANADIAN NEWS

Shortly after the article was published, negative comments were made by an envious person(s) who questioned Freddy Will's  Grammy nomination over his involvement on the charity CD, “Healthy Food for thought: Good Enough To Eat” that Freddy Will, several musical and spoken word artists and the East Coast Recording Company all received the nomination for.   Freddy Will’s Management responded and some of what was written is below:

"We manage and promote Grammy-nominated artist and author Freddy Will because he is a very talented artist, an insightful writer, a good actor and a down to earth person if you get the chance to meet him in person. We are very careful in how we credit Freddy Will’s achievements. But recently, some characters hiding behind the moniker of "M. Matthews" became enraged over Freddy Will's appearance on Miss Kemi's Top 10 list. They had choice words that bore no effect. Bear in mind, "M. Matthews" are a group of faceless cowards’ alleging to have won Grammy's but would not show proof of their existence.

They've made it their mission to ignite controversy over Freddy Will's achievements. We note what he has done through promotion so that it is not overlooked. This has denied them of their ploy which is to hide Freddy Will in a large shuffle of artists. We have addressed all allegations online showing proof where needed but that was not enough to satisfy them." -GBE PRESS RELEASE.

"Freddy Will is the first "artist and author" from Sierra Leone to be nominated "under" a Grammy "category" GBE Management has always credited the album, the producers and all artists on the nominated album. GBE has never stated anywhere that it, the nomination was a sole hip hop nomination garnered by Freddy Will. We all know that every song comes with a title featuring the artist, band or group of singers/rappers who sang on it. It is custom industry practice. When an artist is involved on a nominated group project it is not merely to say the “artist” was involved on the project.

Along with the executive producers  each artist on the album is also nominee. Freddy Will even had access to two tickets (one for him and one for his date) to the award show in Los Angeleswith backstage passes like each executive producer and every artist on the album. If the album had won, each artist would have received a Grammy. This is a huge accomplishment for the team of producers, artists and Freddy Will an independent African artist who is also an author." - GBE PRESS RELEASE.

"Freddy Will is the world’s first musical artist to release "consecutive" albums with "corresponding" books and the only Sierra Leonean born "artist and author" with a significant western fan base. Our independent distribution and publishing company is not linked to the CRTC or Soundscan in anyway because our markets are not only in Canada. We ship books and CDs to various countries.

His books are even available in libraries within The United States and Canada and we sell books directly through Soul Asylum Poetry and Publishing and also on Amazon. Our iTunes and CDBABY spreadsheets show downloads from places as far as New Zealand where Freddy Will has never been. We also have a music Jamroom through Double K Records which is another outlet for our music
distribution - check the links to listen to one of his albums."

- GBE PRESS RELEASE.

Freddy Will responded in this press release and also on his blog, some of what he said is below:

“I believe the negative comments on the Ms Kemi article were an emotional and personal outburst showing outrage. Miss Kemi, a respected and controversial journalist, published an article with me on the list. That article bypassed some subliminal saboteurs who have had their reasons why a musician from the United States should not succeed in Canada.

Even though I came from Sierra Leone, the fact that I entered Canada through the United States has led many to ignore the African side of me. I suspect that the people hiding behind this fake moniker are previously canned associates of mine who I do not wish to name until we have definite proof. They zeroed in on three of my current achievements mentioned in the Kemi article and deliberately misinterpreted what was said."

“I am one of very few artists and authors from that region who has come this far artistically. Some have suggested that just by stating my achievements, I am somehow diminishing other artists from the region but this is not true. I'm repping for the region instead. So, if I worked with both Grammy and JUNO Award winning artists and producers, shouldn't  I say it?

It does not mean that I'm boastful or cocky when I say I'm the first artist and author from the region to release consecutive books with corresponding albums.
There is a lot more that I need do but these are some of my achievements thus far. If anything, this should be a ‘BIG UP” to Sierra Leone because one of their own has made it this far paving the way for others."
– FREDDY WILL

“It’s unfortunate that haters are always around – they think they can drown out the accomplishments of others. I know it’s not only me, others have felt the same.  It only makes me and my management team stronger..” – FREDDY WILL

His track ‘Angel’ was featured.  Listen to the entire interview here: (place the link here please)

“Sounds of Africa is an educative program on one of the college radios in Toronto. This show was unique because even though I was there to promote my Krio Album and talk about the Grammy nomination, the radio station itself was on the verge of being shut down. It was good and bad at the same time but all in all it was a good show." – FREDDY WILL

The show's hallmark is its "Reaching the Unreachable" franchise - demanding answers and finding the truth. Backed by the global resources of C-TV, Jefferson Sackey's file is Central at looking at world events - covering not only the day's top stories, but the fascinating, the unexpected and the under reported.

As a West African freelance journalist, Jefferson Kwamina Sackey has been a globetrotting reporter for almost six years, covering armed conflicts, political upheavals and natural disasters in hot spots around the world. All that fieldwork served as a warm-up for 2005, an extra ordinary year that took him to the front lines in post conflict, Liberia and Sierra Leone, Rwanda, forever changing his view of his life, his career and how it all fits together.”

While visiting Toronto, Canada during the 2010 Scotiabank Caribana Festival, Jefferson Sackey interviewed Freddy Will at a V.I.P. event while he, Sackey was filming a  JS-IA’s coverage of Caribana events. "that kind of track that many immigrants can relate to. It talks about your first love from back home and remisces on trying to find romance in a foreign country, it even touches on inter racial dating.

Many second and thrird generation of immigrants often find themselves trapped between two cultures. Some choose one over the other and some play the fence while some others are involved in both sides of their cultural background. Angel is about finding the perfect girl who understands and loves you beyond all yout differences. it's  a theatrical song.”

                  PRESS RELEASE
         FREDDY WILL NAMES HIS NEXT
                ALBUM THERE IS A TWIST

PHILADELPHIA, PA, USA – June 1, 2010 FREDDY WILL™ has finally released the title of his upcoming Creole / Krio language album.  After many months of keeping the title secret from his entire management team AND his fans (tisk, tisk) he’s telling us all today.

The name of FREDDY WILL’s upcoming Creole / Krio language album is entitled, ‘Dark Horse from Romarong…a city of kings.’  As he’s been saying since last year, the album will be released on October 10th, 2010.

We went straight to Freddy Will for the details on the title of the album, who’s on the album and what type of album it is,

" I know this might sound concieted but I had to protect this project from possible swagger jackers. You will be surprised to know how many times a concept gets stolen from its originator right from the early atages of it being developed. I wanted this project to stand out in my legacy as one of the times when I proclaimed my West African roots. I want it to be seen as me playing my part in bringing positive exposure to Sierra Leone through my talent and I want to use it to connect with Sierra Leone.

Dark Horse From Romarong ...a city of kings. Ok, a 'Dark Horse' is someone in the public eye who strives to be a legend but is highly underrated. Romarong is the name of Sierra Leone before it became Sierra Leone. This album is dedicated to Sierra Leone at this time when we are rebranding the country from its previous war image to its new image of peace and progress. Because Sierra Leone is loaded with many talents and highly educated people from all work or life I tagged it as
a ... city of kings.

I featured Eddie Bullen on the title track, Dark Horse From Romarong because he is from Greneda and Grenada has a very historic connection to Sierra Leone. Eddie Bullen is a world renouned Jazz musician who has worked with many notable musicians and won severl high profile awards including the JUNO Awards which is Canada's highest muic awards. I had a background vocalist under the name of Meena who sang on the song Jos Cam. She also did background vocals for Com'mor Beyen Me Now and Endurance. Then I recorded one Englidh song entitled, Save which features Carvin Winans who is a six time Grammy Award winner for Gospel music.

The album will be released with my second book which gives an indept story about the history of how Romarong became Sierra Leone and also contains the English translations to the Krio lyrics on the album."

'MY BOOK OF CHRYMES' REVIEWED IN
          SOUND POLLUTION MAGAZINE

TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA - JAN. 27TH 2010 - Freddy Will's 2009 'My Book Of Chrymes' which chronicles his life experiences along with his musical journey and explains the hardcore lyrics found on its accompanying CD album has been featured and reviewed favorably in Toronto's Sound Pollution online Magazine.

Following controversies over his explicit lyrics on the album which provides many gruesome lyrical snapshots into his life as a teenage refugee growing up with a homicidal state of his mind. Freddy Will details what life on the streets was like and expresses slight remorse for having gone through those troubling times. The book also shows the difference between who he was then and who he is now as a more nurtured individual.

Sound Pollution's Malissa Bessey broke down different parts of the book and quoted some of its most shocking phrases. This Magazine which focuses almost exclusively on Punk and Hip Hop underground musicians/artists bring readers one-of-a-kind contents from all over Canada.

The review of the book can be viewed if you click
HERE.

"One of my biggest plights in Canada music-wise is the division between Canadian and non - Canadian artists... After over four (4) years of recording and publishing on the Canadian Scene with Canadians and getting little or no boost from the Canadian media because of nationality issues I am floored to see that someone is beginning to pay a positive attention to my work." - Freddy Will

              PRESS RELEASE
    FREDDY WILL PREPARES TO RELEASE
           FIRST KRIO LANGUAGE ALBUM

NEW JERSEY, USA -  NOV. 18TH 2009 -  The year '2009' will go down in the history books for many reasons: Evironmental disasters, major entertainment stars lost their lives including pop icon Michael Jackson and Isaac Hayes, a landslide of housing foreclosures in the United States and a global recession, just to name a few.

For underground Hip Hop artist and author Freddy Will, this year saw the August release of his first book along with a revival of his of his debut album which had almost hit the can when ex promoter and distributor Soulkiss Entertainment breached their contract after squandering thousands of GBEnt. dollars. But just three (3) months after this ground breaking book/CD success Freddy Will set his sights on a new list of goals to accomplish within that same year.

If you read is book (My Book Of Chrymes) you will see where his determination comes from. Freddy Will has been through some serious struggles... real struggles, the kind that most of us cannot even imagine on a bad day. Those struggles made him who he is today and they made him come through 2009 like a lion despite the turmoils in the worlds around him. As he always does, he succeeded.

And so independent artist and author Freddy Will has decided the ripple the entertainment stage with a colossal new release of a brand new musical offering which title he has decided its too soon to announce. Earlier this year, it was announced in a press release on Freddywill.com that a FREDDY WILL record, entirely in the Creole/Krio language of Sierra Leone was in the works. Freddy Will also announced that the album was going to be recorded at THUNDER DOME SOUNDS in Ontario, Canada by its CEO, producer and arranger EDDIE BULLEN.

The Krio album plays with a nonchalant but pleasant-sounding sensation. The album is scheduled to be released with a new book in another book & CD package. This book will contain English translations of the Krio lyrics on the album. Singles off the album will carry titles like 'Ends Meet,' 'Dark Horse,' 'Promise,' and 'International.' There is also one (1) English song on the album featuring Grammy winning gospel singer Carvin Winans. The album is set to be released on October 10th, 2010. It will be distributed in Freetown, Sierra Leone, the United States and on the Worldwide web.

"There will be very few guests appearances on this album. I want to do a record which will challenge my creativity and set the record straight. I can hold down an album by myself if I want to. But the main reason for this album is to address African audiences directly. I put a street-wise twist to the legendary art of West African storytelling and switched my vocal range between rapping and singing my own hooks... And yes, the entire album is in Krio. I'm going back to my roots with this one."

               PRESS RELEASE

               FREDDY WILL RELEASES
A
    CROSSOVER HIP HIP/GOSPEL SINGLE
            FEATURING CARVIN WINANS

NEW JERSEY AND DETROIT, USA - JULY 25TH 2009 - As FREDDY WILL gears up to release his first book and CD combo in a comeback effort to repair damages caused by former distributors Soulkiss Entertainment. The previous distributors based in Toronto, Canada were unsuccessful in their attempt to release Freddy Will's 2008 debut album but Freddy Will soon recalled the album after canceling the breached agreement.

In response to the foiled effort, he went back into the studio to revamped the album adding several songs and replacing some other ones with remixes of the already popular singles. The album was repackaged with an all new artwork which matched the book it accompanied while the book contained all lyrics from the album including Freddy Will's own commentaries on how the songs were created, when, where and what the thought process was for each song.

The most notable feature is a guest appearance by Carvin Winans, a five (5) time Grammy Award winner. Freddy Will and Carvin Winans co-wrote the song 'PROVIDENCE' after Carvin became thrilled when he heard Freddy Will's life story and became aware of all the struggles he had been through. 'PROVIDENCE' is a blend of gospel and Hip Hop melodies which was produced by Juno Award winning producer Eddie Bullen. Carvin Winans added his strong vocals with Freddy Will on this emotionally charged hit song.

The song is centered on the story about Freddy Will's skirmish in West Africa when he was a teenager understanding God's role and timing in his life.

Carvin Winans is a renowned gospel singer who grew up singing in a Christian household similar to that of Michael Jackson. He grew up in Detroit, Michigan with nine (9) other siblings and they gained worldwide success in the music industry winning 35 Grammy Awards together under various music categories. 'The Winans' gospel group comprised of Carvin, Marvin, Roland and Michael Winans. CeCe and BeBe Winans their younger sister and brother are also a renowned gospel powerhouse from the same family.

A mutual friend introduced 'The Winans' group to Andre Crouch who signed them to his label. The Winans launched into the spotlight with their debut album 'Introducing The Winans' in 1981. After several successful albums, some label changes (including a move to Quincy Jones's label, Qwest) they garnered respectable writing credits for both gospel and R&B artists who also won Grammies for those songs. The Winans group went on to record and released two (2) successful albums under Qwest label. They took a break from performing to concentrate on their individual ministries and solo projects.

'The Very Best of the Winans' was released in 2002 and this album featured the entire Winans family (including their parents and all of Carvin's siblings). The entire Winans family members have amassed a mind-blowing 35 Grammy Awards to date. This is a true testament to the entire family's gift and talent and also their soulful strength in God.  Carvin is currently working towards a tentative solo album which due date is in the very near future.

Carvin was deeply touched by Freddy Will's story and moved by his enormous talent. He agreed to record the song and help Freddy express how Providence (which is another name for God) came through and rescued him from the bowels despair. This song is a bonus song on the 'While I'm Still Young - The Talking Drums 1.2v' album and it is receiving good reviews and airplay around the world.

"Working with Carvin Winans was a thrill for me. He is not only gifted he is also experienced in the music indusrtry and he knows about life. I looked at him like a mentor or a father figure. He gave me plenty of advises to prepare me for Hollywood and its pitfalls of fame. He reminded me of the importance of God in ones life. His strong belief in me as and artist has also given me huge encouragement to keep pressing on."

It realizes the dream he always had for the company; to create a place of collaboration among artists of various talents and to raise awareness of them to the public. Ken and Freddy immediately found common ground of trust and respect, two things Freddy was struggling to find in the traditional promotion and distribution system.

Double K Records is based on the model of indie artists retaining rights to their work and having an equitable arrangement with theiir promoters. Sales from online store return $0.50 for every $1.00 MP3 file downloaded. Fifty percent of the gross margin on physical sales (CDs and merchandize) goes to the artist while Double K Records foots 100% of the marketing, promotional and manufactural costs.

I had a deal with Soulkiss Entertainment who claimed they coauld take my music to the moon because of their Universal Music Canada and dep ties but at the end of the day I realise that honesty and respect is better than an souped up contract. Ken Cowle has given me a chamce to shine and that's what I'm planning to do." -  FREDDY WILL

                  PRESS RELEASE
              FREDDY WILL TO RELEASE
                NEW 2010 ALBUM IN KRIO

TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA FED. 5TH 2009 -
Freddy Will returns to the studio to record a 'Creole' hip hop album in an effort to target African fans. This album which will be his second solo offering with 100% new material is currently untitled.  The album is set to hit stores and online late Fall 2010 via his label Ghetto Breed Entertainment (GBE) and Double K Records.

Freddy Will wants to relate to his African roots.  He's respected for his flow, lyrical wit and longevity, all of which blossomed after he dropped his first mixtape in 2006.  In 2008, Freddy Will released his debut studio album and the question has since become, can he still relate to the days when he sought refuge in war torn regions of Africa? As an avid Hip Hop star living the urban American culture, it is easy to see why critics would suggest that the Brookfields born, Liberian bred artist who spent years living in New Jersey, may have forgotten his African origins…perhaps? Not true.

Freddy Will’s first musical offering (which was released in 2006 as a mixtape) bears no samples or previously used instrumentals.  It talked about his street experiences which comes after his experiences in West Africa. 'Stay True - the mixtape' garnered lots of buzz and kudos in both the United States and Canada because it held no punches.  This mixtape is now considered his most street album to date and by some, it’s his ‘real’ debut album because of its originality.

By 2008, Freddy Will surprised everyone with a more refined flow on his crossover album entitled, “While I'm Still Young - The Talking Drums”. This album has several cuts from the mixtape as well as some interesting new crossovers with calypso, rock, jazz and reggae influences. Again with no samples used.  Ghetto Breed Entertainment promoted the album heavily and it garnered favor with critics who received it well. This album is set to be re-released on August 11th, 2009 with several new singles.

The upcoming Creole/Krio album, which is currently being recorded, has no English but fan will be able to feel what the songs are purtraying.  Freddy Will can still speaks Krio and continues to delve into his African roots musically.   The first Creole single will be released in January of 2010

Freddy Will also signed an exclusive book and publishing deal with a company that's based in both Toronto and USA for his first two self written books which are both scheduled to be released in 2009 and 2010, details to follow.

When asked about the upcoming Creole album, Freddy Will said:

'I was inspired by French rappers in Dakar, Senegal years ago and had always wanted to do a record in an African language. I found myself in New Jersey before I could do that. Now I've grown as an artist and I'm tailoring my career to be more versatile. I think the fans are gonna enjoy it.'

                  PRESS RELEASE
     FREDDY WILL AXES DISTRIBUTORS
  AND PREPARES FOR INTERNATIONAL
                              SHOWCASE

NEW JERSEY/TORONTO, JAN 25TH, 2009 - 2009 started out very busy for New Jersey rapper FREDDY WILL as he prepares for an internati
onal showcase of his debut album.

Freddy Will, who is also CEO/President of Ghetto Breed Entertainment started this year off by giving his former distributors (Soulkiss Ent./DEP/Universal Music Canada) the axe after several discrepancies over their Promotional, Marketing and Distribution agreement.

Freddy Will has not spoken publicly on the details of the split but is quoted as saying:

"I only work with people who have integrity that can be trusted and Soulkiss Entertainment did not meet that standard of integrity. I will advise anyone who has business dealings with Mr. Brian LaRoche to be carefull of his incompetence."

As a matter of fact, Ghetto Breed Entertainment (GBEnt) reportedly clinched back all rights to its internet distribution from Soulkiss Ent who claimed that they are distributed in stores nationally and online through DEP/Universal Music Canada

In addition, Freddy Will's debut album "While I'm Still Young - The Talking Drums" is being re-vamped with several new songs added and will be re-released on his birthday, August 11th 2009.

He is now  distributed through his new distribution company, Ghetto Breed Distributions, GBEnt and Double K Records. This album release id commenced jointly with the launch off Freddy Will’s first book 'My Book Of Chrymes'.

In related news, Freddy Will started recording a new album in Krio (one of the native languages of Sierra Leone) with legendary Eddie Bullen who produced the majority of his debut album.

The upcoming Creole/Krio Hip Hop album, which is currently 'untitled,' will be released in Fall/Winter of 2010 and be distributed worldwide through Ghetto Breed Distributions and Double K Records. This will bring Freddy closer to African Hip Hop fans who have supported him throughout his career.  Guest artists are not confirmed yet for the album but negotiations are currently underway for several high profile artists to appear on the album. This new album will be available at www.freddywill.com and Freddywill's jamroom at Soul Asylum Poetry and Publishing along with a new list of vendors where the revamped album, his book and Creole album will be available (to be announced soon).

After the Creole album is released Freddy Will is launching an international showcase of both albums and his book starting off in Europe, then to Africa then he will return back to the United States of America.  Upon his return to Toronto, Canada, the second book (which is an action non-fiction novel) will be released.  Look out for these exciting new releases from Freddy Will in 2009-2010!!

QUOTE:

"I'm very excited for what Ghetto Breed Entertainment is set to accomplish. I enjoy working with Eddie Bullen. He’s a musical genious to work with.  I love to perform my music and I'm really looking forward to performing in Africa again.  I’m waiting to hear the reactions to my books also.'

                  PRESS RELEASE
                FREDDY WILL RE-NAMES
                  PUBLISHING CPMPANY

NEW JERSEY, USA,  JAN 7TH, 2009 -
Major changes underway in Freddy Will's camp led to a huge restructuring of his companies and its associates. After the promotional disaster suffered in 2008 when Soulkiss Entertainment failed to fulfill their obligation on their promotion, marketing & distribution contract, Freddy saw a need to make drastic cuts and re-adjustments in order to continue his business and career.

Ghetto Breed Entertainment is pleased to announce that it has severed all ties with Soulkiss Entertainment, nullifying their entire agreement that once bonded the two companies.  A lawsuit against Soulkiss Entertainment is pending.

Fans, supporters and well wishers are admonished to pardon GBEnt for being lured unknowingly into such a flawed agreement with Soulkiss Entertainment.
if at all.

Moreover, the 'Badson Publishing' name has become unsuitable since Freddy
Will has now expanded his publishing company to include books. screenplays and comics. New releases from the publisher  may not necessarily fall in the same category as his music.

Therefore, 'Badson Publishing’ has been officially renamed ‘FREDDY WILL PUBLISHING-(FWP)’ to accommodate his new expansion.  A new division was also created under Ghetto Breed Entertainment (GBEnt) to facilitate Internet and physical distribution of GBE's merchandise worldwide. This new distribution department is called Ghetto Breed Distributions GBDist. All subsiduaries will now fall under FREDDY WILL INDUSTRIES.

QUOTE:
"It's a shame that Soulkiss Entertainment was not upfront with Ghetto Breed Entertainment about what they can and can't do. One thing I do not tolerate in this business is posers. Tell me the truth no matter how bad it is and I will respect you more than if you mislead me. Another thing I don't want to hear is a long spill about how this industry works from someone who doesn’t know how to fulfill contracts and run his own business…..period."

                  PRESS RELEASE
CITY BOY BURSTS OUT IN WEST AFRICA

FREETOWN, SIERRA LEONE, DEC 15TH, 2008 -
The calypso/Hip Hop crossover single 'City Boy' off of Freddy Will's 2008 debut album "While I'm Still Young - The Talking Drums" was received by Freetown's renowned DJ Jahway and is in rotation at several radio stations and night clubs in Sierra Leone, West Africa.

Freddy Will's (having migrated to the United States of America via Dakar, Senegal after living on refugee status in The Gambia) album had been highly anticipated in West Africa for several years. The rapper who is also a screenwriter and author, gained popularity in the region during the early to mid 1990's when he began lip syncing lyrics from songs by his favorite rap artists such as Ice - T, L.L. Cool J, Naughty By Nature, Tupac Shakur, The Notorious B.I.G, Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube (to name a few).

He soon began to write his own rap songs and perform them all over Freetown, Sierra Leone
at numerous school variety and local talent shows there.
Freddy Will later moved to The Gambia and then to Senegal where he became respected for his flow and lyrical wit. His demos aired on Gambia's West Coast radio regularily and received heavy rotation and he is still revered to this date as one of the best. He gave several performances at five (5) star tourist hotels such as Senegambia Hotel and Palmarima Hotel and he also performed at ICE High and Gambia high school galas.

His most notable was his performance in Latrikunda German where he amused a large crowd with a theme song he had co - written with his musical ace Peter Lebbi for Mr. Ngibah's 'Lend A Hand Society.'  Fans waited patiently after he went silent for several years while living in New Jersey, USA.  The debut of 'City Boy' off his album “While I’m Still Young – The Talking Drums” on national radio in Freetown, quenched a large thirst and revived his career in West Africa.  More singles off the album are currently being requested by his fans and they await his exclusive Krio language album which will hit the streets of Africa later.
